WMC Wednesday Report

Big kudos to Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys for taking 1st place Sunday in the B-93 Country Showdown at the Intersection. Your next place to see Gunnar and the boys will be this week Thursday as special guest along with Union Guns for the Small Town Son CD Release party at the Intersection. Tickets are only $5 for 3 great local bands and your first chance to snag the new STS CD. Doors open at 6:30PM and the show kicks off at 8:00PM. 17+ Welcome. Come on, what else are you going to do on a Thursday night?

Kidney Walk This Weekend

From Team Conrad...Kidney Walks at Noon Sunday in Portage and GR. Even you didn't sign up for the TEAM CONRAD at www.b93.com page you are still invited. Last minute attendees are very welcome. Strollers, bikes etc can all do the 3 mile walk. (but you don't have to walk if you don't want to) Neal and Reese are at Celery Flat...ts in Portage. Conrad, Britta, Colt etc at the 5th/3rd Ballpark in Grand Rapids. Even if you cannot come..you may reach someone who can. Most of all thank you for all you support and PRAYERS!

West Michigan Country Music Showdown

The Intersection in Grand Rapids, Michigan will be hosting its first annual country music showdown in conjunction with 93.7FM B-93. They have had a ton of success from this type of event in the rock genre with the Heavyweight Series that has been running for over 10 years now. The Intersection, thanks to the local country scene, has grown into a must play for national country acts and they would like to focus on some of the bands that have helped get them there.

They will run 4-5 bands per night with a nightly cash prize of $300 for the preliminary round winners. Five (5) bands will advance to the finals where the Grand Prize winner will receive a Cash Prize of $2,000 + a package that they are still putting together of gift cards, photo shoot, prime opening slots for national acts at The Intersection, possible studio time and other great prizes. Winners for the first 3 nights are chosen strictly by fan votes and the finals are a combination of crowd voting and a panel of judges.

It’s a Tim McGraw weekend in Grand Rapids. Both B93 and Thunder Country are hosting pre-parties to kick off the evening this Saturday.

B93’s party will be taking place at the Bob starting at 5:00PM. It will include live music from Union Guns, drink specials, a buffet, and a chance for ticket upgrades and other goodies. More details at b93.com.

Thunder Country will be hosting a party at the 25 Kitchen & Bar starting at 5:00PM and will also have goodies to give away. More details at thunder945.com

After the main event, the Intersection & B93 will be hosting an after party featuring Tim’s opening act The Lost Trailers wsg Union Guns and Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys. This is an 18+ party with a $5.00 cover at the door. Details at sectonlive.com.
